When Nike and the NBA announced the reach of the agreement for the new technical furniture of the league, we all figured that this partnership could’ve brought something super cool to the Association. And even with some initial hesitation - aka, the ripped uniforms - now we’re finally seeing some results. Like, for example, Miami Heat’s “City Edition” uniforms, freely inspired by the 1980s tv show “Miami Vice”. We believe we can say with some certainty that you won’t see better jerseys than this ones, at least for this season.

Nike’s “City Edition” jerseys are born with the will to homage all the loyal fans that for 41 times a season goes to the local arena, supporting the team with their passion and defending the identity of the franchise. “Inspired by Miami Heat history and the city of Miami in the 1980s, the Vice uniform pays homage to the culture cultivated throughout the city and among Miami Heat fans,” reads an official press statement. “The campaign is the future as imagined in the 1980s; as if the art and culture of a bygone time have become the foundation for our future, transforming our present into an alternate reality.”

Even if you didn’t understand a word, you can still enjoy these amazing uniforms, that will be worn for 15 of the remaining regular season games. The shirts have a retro style, with the original “Miami Arena” script. The colors are “Laser Fuchsia/Blue Gale”, with a re-imagined version of the traditional branding with the basketball and the flames. You can purchase the uniforms, the entire collection and know more about the Miami Heat “Vice Collection” at the franchise’s website.
