Los Angeles Galaxy unveiled 2018 home kit and Since 96 lookbook A strong statement about the club heritage directed to the new home rivals Los Angeles FC

The return of the MLS is imminent, with the first pre-season games that will be played within a few weeks. And before the kickoff of the 2018 season, the Los Angeles Galaxy have to be prepared for the competition with the new city reality, that will try to contend the crown of the principal club in LA: the Los Angeles FC. And for this very reason: Galaxy focused the presentation of the new kit made by adidas Football around their twenty year-long participation in the MLS: “Unrivaled since 96”.

A clear message for the newly arrived in town, alongside with the “Since 96” lookbook - shot by Hana Asano - that saw some legends of the club model with members of the 2018 team. Players like Cobi Jones, Mauricio Cienfuegos, Kevin Hartman, Carlos Ruiz, Alexi Lalas and Mike Magee wore some historical shirts of the club, other than with the new adidas jersey. A direct message to the new city rivals about who wrote ‘soccer’ history in the City of Angels.

Back to the present day, the new home jersey has been presented to season ticket holders in a special event at The Novo, in Downtown LA. The shirt sees the return of the iconic Galaxy navy blue diagonal stripe, with golden outline stripes. The “This is LA” and “Galaxy” writing complete the jersey, alongside with the star placed above the crest, representing the five MLS Cups won by the LA-based club.
