"Equality" is written large and bold on the sole of the new Mercurial Vapor XI BHM, produced by Nike for the Black History Month, the annual month that the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom have dedicated to African American culture and the diaspora of slaves. These new Mercurials are a tribute to the players and athletes of color, and continue the tradition started in 2015 with the Mercurial Superfly IV and in 2016 with the Magista Obra worn by Blaise Matuidi, recently the victim of racist incidents at the Cagliari stadium. The Mercurial Vapor XI BHM will be worn by Neymar Jr and Dani Alves during the upcoming Ligue 1 games.

A unique design and unlike anything else before, the Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 BHM 2018 cleats are predominantly black with an array of lines running across the upper in different colors to represent the roots of the different communities coming together. The word 'EQUALITY' is printed on the sock-liner of the boot. A white sole plate and gold accents, in the form of all brandings, complete the eye-catching design.

The Mercurial Vapor XI BHM will be available from January 15 2018.
