Nike celebrates CR7 Ballon d'Or with the "Quinto Triunfo"

On Thursday night we all were tired and chilly, just ready to enjoy a long Immaculate Conception weekend without a second thought. So, we didn’t pay that much attention on the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo won his fifth Ballon d’Or, the third in the last four years, evening the count with his rival Leo Messi off. And even more important, you could’ve missed the usual release of the Nike Mercurial Vapor CR7 that the Swoosh presented to celebrate the umpteenth award got by “Quinto Triunfo”.

Cristiano seems to like shining boots, as after the diamond-inspired “Chapter 5” and the “Melhor” covered by platinum to celebrate the FIFA Best Player Award, the “Quinto Triunfo” is also covered by a shining coat, of course a golden one, just as like as the Ballon he has just won. On the Swoosh, the only silver part alongside with the laces and the sock, there are the years when Ronaldo won the prize from France Football -  2008, 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2017 - while on the heel there are the name of the shoe, “Quinto Triunfo”, the CR7 logo, and the 1-1000 numeration. That, in fact, is the number of Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 that Nike will produce and that will be available from December 14.
