Jack The Ripper adidas Predator 18+ UltraBOOST
The Canadian sneaker alchemist once again combined elements of the football boot and the sneaker
December 7th, 2017
Since when adidas Football announced the awaited return of the Predator 18+, the football world has been caught by a crazy enthusiasm about the Three Stripes’ boot, that like no other boot before has conquered the hearts of football enthusiasts. One of these is Jack The Ripper, that a few months ago “worked” on a pair of Predator Mania. The Canadian, that calls himself “sneaker alchemist”, finds pleasure in combining football boots with typical elements of the sneakers.
This is what he has done with a pair of Predator 18+ in the setting of a project made with adidas Canada for the Toronto Tango League, where the work on the shoe was made live. The result? A pair of “adidas Predator 18+ All Terrain Boot”, obtained by taking the upper of the football boot, combining it with the famous UltraBOOST intersole, and completing it with an all-terrain all-weather fit sole. The white three stripes have been replaced with black reflecting ones, and a leather tongue and heel guard have been added.
The only problem with this amazing mashup? They won’t reach the shops’ shelters, as Jack The Ripper only made two pairs, one to be used in adidas’ showcases and another that was given to the Toronto Tango League MVP. A true shame, but as for art operas, these Predator 18+ All Terrain will be as much value as they’re unique.
