Amazon will produce a docu-series about Manchester City

Documentaries seem to be the new trend in football for the next years. After the reported deal between Juventus and Netflix for a docu-series, today Manchester City announced officially that Amazon Prime Video will produce a behind-the-scenes multi-part exclusive series following the four-time top flight championship-winning soccer team. The series is expected to be released in 2018 and will be available in over 200 countries worldwide on the Amazon Video platform, rumors say that the deal is worth more than 10 million of pounds.

Amazon’s series on Manchester City will include visits to its training facilities at the City Football Academy and feature interviews with Pep Guardiola, the top players, and executive meetings. It joins a growing library of sports entertainment shows on Prime, including “The Grand Tour,” two series of “All or Nothing,” which follows the Arizona Cardinals and The Los Angeles Rams over an NFL season.
