Giannis Antetokounmpo re-signed with Nike The Swoosh has promised him a signature shoe by 2019 and a substantial increase of the paycheck

Among the most exciting things of these first months of NBA regular season, one of them has specific name and surname - even if they’re not so easy to say - Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak, in fact, had a spectacular beginning of the season, recording some impressive stats that immediately put him into the talking about the MVP award, even if it’s too soon to talk about that. But the good news isn't over for Giannis, as the Greek recently announced the extension of his partnership with Nike, after the end of his previous contract on October 1.

Actually, the news is just as good for the Swoosh, that had to fight to keep Antetokounmpo away from its rivals. In September, in fact, the Milwaukee Bucks’ superstar got a truck (!) full of adidas’ merchandise, like YEEZYs and every other kind of Three Stripes’ item you can think. Nike though, got to convince Giannis, promising him to release his signature shoe during the 2018/19 season, other than a substantial increase of his paycheck. So, just like that LeBron James guy that talked so good about the Greek, we’ll probably see Antetokounmpo with the Swoosh for years as well, maybe for his entire career.
