PUMA x Daily Paper celebrating African Football The AW 17 collection for the 20th anniversary of the collaboration between Puma and African Football

Puma and Africa a love story that lasts 20 years and still lives. For celebrating this important anniversary the German brand presented a great the Autumn-Winter '17 collection in collaboration with the Amsterdam-based streetwear label Daily Paper. This is the second collaboration between the brands with the aim of bringing together new authentic flavors and sports designs inspired by African football.

Founded in 2010, Daily Paper have made their mark in the streetwear scene showcasing their cultural identity and diverse influences with a tailored, rugged look and eclectic materials. The African heritage of the founders plays a key role and it's their African football roots that inspire their latest key pieces. In The PUMA x Daily Paper Autumn-Winter ’17 Daily Paper infuses contemporary streetwear stylings inspired by their African heritage onto PUMA’s football team kits, team gear and classics sneaker silhouettes from the sports archive. The graphics and color-blocking patterns are memories of the vibrant team kits of PUMA sponsored teams from the Confederation of African Football like Ghana, Cameroon and Ivory Coast.

To celebrate the launch of the collection, PUMA and Daily Paper have appropriated all marketing funds towards the building of a football pitch and facilities at the Accra Senior Girls School in Ghana and equipping gear for their team. The project was made possible in cooperation with the Right to Play foundation and it was caught on this short film featuring the Daily Paper crew, goalkeeper for the Ghana Black Stars Richard Ofori, French Afro-Trap rapper MHD.

The PUMA x Daily Paper Autumn-Winter ’17 is available on the Daily Paper's online store.
