New logos for NBA Playoff and Finals?

NBA is completing its rebranding, this time the Playoff and Finals are involved: it looks like that both logos will be renewed. The first images that show the new design of the logos were caught on NBA 2K18, as reported by the American journalist Conrad Burry. 

If the rebrand will be confirmed, it will a great change for the image of the last and more important part of the basket season, since the logos haven't changed in a decade. This summer there was a little rebrand of the official logo of the League, but this rebrand seems more radical. Both logos lost their peculiarities - the different font, the basketball and the star - and seem more graphically alienated to the official one. The reactions from the fanbase are not the more joyful ones: on Reddit, they label them as boring and without personality, Burry said that especially the Finals logo is "awfully sterile and uninspired". We will keep you updated if the NBA will confirm the restyling of the logos or not.
