Nike presented the CR7 Mercurial Campeões

It’s been a dozen of days since the Champions League final in Cardiff, which once again crowned Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese in particular, who scored his umpteenth double in the most important game of the year, has been celebrated since then (and rightly so) for all his victories and unbelievable statistics. But now, for CR7 it’s time for another challenge, to be faced, of course, with a pair of Nike Mercurial on his feet.

Thanks to the conquest of the European Championship last summer, in fact, the superhero from Madeira will lead his teammates in the 2017 Confederations Cup, the tournament that, every four years, anticipates the opening of the following FIFA World Cup, that will be held in Russia in 2018. For the occasion, Nike created a new chapter in Cristiano’s signature shoes’ history, the CR7 Mercurial Campeões. Realized with the colors of the Lusitanian flag, this new shoes by the Swoosh has golden sole and finishings, to remember the weight of the trophies won by Ronaldo, and Portugal in general, in the last months, other than the one at stake at the end of the tournament. On the bottom of the heel, there’s also the country’s flag, to celebrate Cristiano’s devotion to his roots.

The only problem with the CR7 Mercurial Campeões? Nike decided that there’s only one man worth of wearing them, Cristiano Ronaldo himself, and so they won’t be available for purchase in any way.
