It seems to be now really common. For some time now it seems that athletes became (or, better, became again) the perfect output for the big sneakers brand in order to give them the most-awaited sneakers before the release. It happened with Derrick Jones JR during the All-Star Weekend, when he wore the Suptempo. And it happened also few weeks before with Neymar JR, always with the same shoes.

It seems to be a precise pattern that sees involved the best players in the world, in more or less public situations. The last, in temporal order, prove of this trend regards the two most dominant NBA players right now: Kevin Durant and LeBron James. Ahead of Game 3 of the Finals the two have been spotted wearing a completely new version of the OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Force 1.

The sneaker is the white version of the one leaked some weeks ago, but there is no confirmation or information about it. The details seem to be the same of the previous version, with the quotation mark on the internal Swoosh and the “AIR” word on the sole.

The relationship between streetwear and sport seems to be back to the 90s levels, and it is thanks to the work of very influent personalities (like the same LBJ) and a found interest of fashion in sports. By now, NBA seems to have a gap with other sports – for cultural and social reasons – but football could shortly reach it.
