Did Durant and LeBron actually record a rap song together? An ESPN scoop revealed the existence of a track recorded in Miami six years ago

The history of the union of rap and NBA is old and long. The exemplary cases are the ones of Allen Iverson and Shaquille O’Neal, who recorded an actual song. The last one was Dame Lillard, who shows his skills. But the relationship between the players and the genre is cultural and evident.

The same hip hop takes a lot from NBA: a few days ago Harden played a role in the Travis Scott video, and Kendrick Lamar cited Westbrook and Durant, while Jay Z was actually the owner of the Nets. And then there is Lebron James, rap-maniac with good skills.

An ESPN scoop revealed that Durant and Lebron could have been recorded a track together six years ago, when the King was in Miami. Durant went for a training session and the two found the time to spit some lyrics and record on a Durant instrumental.

While the two champs are on the Finals field fighting one each other, on the net there is a kind of hunting for that piece. ESPN interviewed a producer of the only movie Durant played “Thunderstruck”, who said: “I heard the song and I was very good. So good I proposed him to let Warner Bros know”.

On Twitter there is now an evidence of the track: it was released by the Spider Studios, that promises to release the whole song after 1 million retweets.
