There’s no character in the world that can be as much influent in sneakers and Afro-American culture world, not to talk about the cinematographic and New York area one. We’re talking about Shelton Jackson Spike Lee, film director, producer, writer, actor and leader of the movement for black people human rights. He crafted the mind and soul of so many people, since his first movie: Joe's Bed-Stuy Barbershop: We Cut Heads.

Many years before Spike had a meeting with Nike and Michael Jordan for a series of commercial for the new Air. The two talked for days and in the end, MJ confessed him his liking for the character of Mars Blackmon from the movie She’s Gotta Have It. Moral of the story? A legendary commercial campaign came out of that. During the years, the two of them never got separated, neither when his majesty with the shirt number 12 crashed several times his beloved New York Knicks during the NBA playoffs. Spike never misses a game at the Madison Square Garden and he’s always dressed with the colors of the team.

The Nike Jordan Spiz’ike was created as a tribute for that commercial campaign and for the eternal friendship between Michael Jordan and Spike Lee. Right now, it’s almost a decade since the first release and Spiz’ike is a mashup of the Jordan III, IV, V, VI and Air Jordan IX and XX. This time, for the anniversary, it will have the “White Cement” look only in the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 4, with two coverings between the heel and the tip, with the style of the tongue from the Air Jordan 6. On June 20 it will arrive in all the shops for $160. It’s a lot, but it worths the cost just like a ticket for Broadway.
