Nike Kyrie 3 PE 'Greased Lightning' Cavs superstar wore a pair of sneakers inspired by the Grease musical

We all know Kyrie Irving for his killer crossover, his alley-oops for Tristan Thompson, and his cold blood when it comes to score the decisive point to win a game.. What? Did someone say Game 7? So, it would be right to look at his new Nike Kyrie, realized in white and decorated with gray and red thunderbolt shapes, and immediately associate them to his quickness of action and thinking on the field. Wrong.

Beaverton’s company, in fact, while realizing Cleveland Cavaliers’ star’s new signature shoes, thought not only about his skills as player, but also about his personal preferences. Non many people knows that Irving has always been a cinema and theater enthusiast, and that he always played in shows and recital, since he was a kid. Kyrie particularly like the musical Grease, an opera from the Seventies that doesn’t need any presentation.

Kyrie’s new Nike were realized with the same design of Danny Zuko - one of the musical’s characters - ’48 Ford Deluxe. The Nike Kyrie 3 PE 'Greased Lightning’ have been worn by Cavs’ superstar during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals and - as Irving scored 22 points and gave 11 assists in ‘wine and gold’ victory - they brought good luck. The sneakers doesn’t have a release date, but we’re sure that every Grease (and Kyrie) lover will await them with anxiety.
