The celebration of a new way to understand the relationship between women and football

Vive La Femme The celebration of a new way to understand the relationship between women and football

Overturn the dogma of the relationship between women and football always was one of the first missions of nss sports. From our very first editorial, passing through the meeting with SEASON, the one with This Fan Girl, until our inquiry about the women situation in the stadiums. So we felt instantly in love with Vive La Femme, creative collective born on Instagram with the idea of finding a right balance between beauty and football, between the idea of an independent woman, a supporter, and feminine.
Vive La Femme realized an editorial to present themselves to the world, and we’re proud to show it  for the very first time in its entireness, not before having read their manifesto:

«The inspiration for the following editorial stems from the societal pressures that are constantly pushed upon women. The editorial itself aims to tackle the concept of women within football and thus question the surrounding notions. It is a time that tired stereotypes associated with women who play male dominated sports are finally put to bed. It is still assumed as acceptable for people to ask your sexual orientation before they ask you your name. In 2017 there should be nothing surprising about being a woman and a football fan or a football player and Vive La Femme is a visual representation of this message.
We at Vive La Femme, have been truly inspired by the unabashed fierceness of women who refuse to allow stereotypes of a bygone age to interfere in their passion for football and this editorial is a homage to them, a collaboration of style and sport celebrating a hub of overwhelming creativity centred around a passion for football, while promoting a woman’s right to be fierce, feminine AND a football fan; or player».
