Charlotte Hornets will wear Jordan brand next season The North Carolina franchise will be the only one with the Jumpman logo on its jersey

Right during the playoff bracket that will lead to the NBA champion for the 2016-17 season, all the NBA enthusiasts - especially those attentive to the merchandise - can’t help to already think with curiosity to the season that will come. The 2017-18 season, in fact, will bring a true revolution for the Association, as for the first time in many years all the team will be wearing jerseys made by Nike, that in June 2015 signed an 8-year deal to replace adidas as the supplier for all the NBA franchises… Almost all.

It’s a recent news that the Charlotte Hornets will be the only team branded by Jordan’s Jumpman, instead of Nike’s Swoosh. Of course, that’s because His Airness is not only the heart and soul of the Jordan brand but also one of the owners of the North Carolina franchise. It’s not random that the Jumpan is already sewed on University of North Carolina Tar Heels’ football and basketball teams’ jerseys.

A revolution inside of the revolution that, alongside with the possibility of having sponsor patches on the new jersey, will change radically NBA and franchises’ look. Also an important signal for the Jordan brand, that proves itself more and more valuable inside Nike, with the risk - who knows - to become a rival someday. So, even if the current season is having its clue moment, the season to come is already finding ways to get some attention.
