Twitter's ideas for the new NBA logo After Jerry West proposed to change it, the fans unleashed themselves on social networks

Last Friday, talking to ESPN’s The Jump, Jerry West went back on the NBA logo matter. If you don’t know it, former Los Angeles Lakers’ point guard is the man who gave his shape to the National Basketball Association’s logo. Talking to ESPN, though, West confessed to feeling ‘embarrassed’ by the idea that his silhouette shapes the NBA logo, and that he would completely agree if the League would decide to change it.

This, of course, unleashed a series of speculations about what the next League’s logo should be. Speculations and ideas that - ca va sans dire - found their glory on social networks, particularly on Twitter, where the users indulged in imaging the new NBA logo’s shape. Some proposed to maintain the ‘Lakers front’, by choosing Kobe Bryant’s jumper, while others preferred to choose LeBron James’ Game 7 chase down.

Some people, maybe the most imaginative, proposed different versions, like the one with Chris Childs hitting Kobe, the one with The Answer, and the one with JR Smith’s celebration. Of course, there’s also the most accredited one, Michael Jordan’s shape, proposed in ‘Air Jordan’, ‘Jumper’… And ‘Crying Jordan’ versions. We don’t know if the NBA would decide to change its logo, but for sure it would have a lot of inspirations thanks to social media.
