A new month and a new nss sports X Football Icons 360 column release. We can say that this month has a lot of gems, but judge it by yourselves.

Nike Mercurial Superfly CR7 Chapter 4: Forged for greatness

That’s a fresh release, as the new Mercurial have just been announced. The fourth chapter narrates Cristiano Ronaldo’s transition from Lisbon to Manchester and from the number 28 to the 7.

The design is inspired by the forge where iron is shaped like his talent did during his years with the Red Devils. The number 7 on the side of the shoe is highlighted to underline the importance of this transition. The heel has the number 28 written in roman numbers.

adidas ACE17+ PureControl Turbocharge

The spring has come and so has the new Turbocharge Pack. It features the same technologies of the ACE17, with Primeknit upper, a revolutionary technology by adidas, with NSG (non-stop-grip). The sole is made with Sprint Frame, with the out-of-sight Boost in it.

adidas MESSI 16+ PureAgility

The mighty Leo had to have his own Turbocharge Pack. The new MESSI16 will have a ‘metallic copper’ coloration, with three black stripes and green studs. The flexible shoe upper makes movements more conformable and the enveloping structure guarantees optimal stability.

Nike Revolution Pack

On March 26 there was the Air Max Day, and for the occasion, Nike created some football shoes with iconic Air Max inspiration. It’s worthy to take some time to enjoy all these gems.

The Nike Tiempo are inspired by the Air Max 1, the Magista by the Air Max 97 (we all know them as ‘silver’), the Hypervenom by the Air Max 95 and the Mercurial by the legendary Air Max 90.

Nike Mercurial Superfly Motion Blur Pack

The new and springily Motion Blur Pack by Nike recalls the legendary Clash Pack from the 2012 European Championship in Ukraine and Poland. The Mercurial have the same color, bonding white and Race Pink coloration with black swoosh.

New Balance Furon 2 Hydra

New Balance presents a limited edition of its Furon 2, called Hydra. The design really impressed us, with a dominant silver with white and electric green. The Hybrid Mesh upper is also in silver, but the particular parts of this shoes are the white parts, that turn green if the make contact with water. An unseen feature on a football boot.

PUMA evoSPEED Marco Reus

PUMA, for every derby of its main athletes, presents a shoe called ‘Derby Fever’. This time, it’s Marco Reus’ turn, with his black and yellow evoSPEED for the Ruhr Derby, between his Dortmund and Schalke. Unfortunately, Reus is injured and won’t be able to show them.

adidas ACE17.1 Podolski custom

Lukas Podolski made his last appearance (the 130th) with Germany. adidas, that has always represented the German legend, prepared for the occasion a custom pair of ACE17.1, with the German flag. The shoes also feature the date of that night, his initials (LP10) and Germany and Cologne flag on both shoes’ tongue.
