Nike "March Madness"

Beaverton's company presented the "Duke" and "Oregon" editions of the Kyrie 3 and Kobe A.D.

Nike March Madness Beaverton's company presented the Duke and Oregon editions of the Kyrie 3 and Kobe A.D.

One of the best things about February being only 28 days long, is the fact that March arrives sooner. Why this makes basketball enthusiasts so happy? Two words: March Madness. The third month of the year, in fact, is for everyone NCAA’s month, the American college basketball. For those who don’t know it, the approaching weeks towards the Final Four are a very important event in the States, followed by thousand of people, both on TV and arenas.

Nike didn’t want to miss the chance to put two pairs of new shoes, produced for the occasion, in front of cameras. We’re talking about Kobe A.D. “Oregon” and Kyrie 3 “Duke”. As it’s easy to notice, they both have the names of two famous colleges, which will have the privilege to be honored by Beaverton’s company with two of its most important featured sneakers. The Ducks, players of the University of Oregon, will be able to wear the brand new Kobe A.D. Even if the Black Mamba never went to college - he stepped right into the NBA from Lower Merion High School - Nike felt like those were the right shoes to represent the Ducks during the March Madness.

Kyrie Irving, instead, was one of Duke’s most representative players, which also forged NBA stars like Brandon Ingram, Jabari Parker, Justice Winslow, Jahlil Okafor, JJ Redick, Seth Curry and Luol Deng. “My time at Duke taught me discipline and cohesion of a championship-level program” said Cavs’ playmaker. “I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything, it was a great road for me to take before landing in Cleveland.” The Kyrie 3 “Duke” will be blue, with the college name wrote on shoe’s sides.

Both sneakers will be released on March 10, two days before the Selection Sunday, when the March Madness’ brackets will be announced. The appointment is getting closer.
