Arab Emirates' football league bans "creative" haircuts

Arab Emirates' football league bans creative haircuts A real problem for Asamoah Gyan and other players

Football players with “modern” haircuts may have a problem if they want to play in UAEFA (United Arab Emirates Football Association). It is what comes out from a letter published by the association and that was sent to a bunch of players, among them there is also Asamoah Gyan, who has just moved from China.

In the letter, in fact, is stated as the “Qaza” haircuts – where only a part of the head is shaved – will be first of all fined, and then completely banned.

The meaning is to be found in the crescent influence that footballers have on the young people, and that could push the children to try to emulate the “not Islamic” behavior and hairstyles of their heroes, like Mohican haircut of the afro one.

This is certainly a problem for Gyan, who’s not new to “sober” haircuts.
