The Paris Fashion Week Men's dedicated to the FW21 collections came to an end yesterday with the 1017 ALYX 9SM show. Began immediately after the Milan fashion week, which was carried out in a hybrid format between digital and physical, the Parisian event opted for an entirely digital edition, rediscovering the splendour of great productions and avant-garde sets without the presence of an audience.

While on the (virtual) catwalks the creative flickers of Virgil AblohMatthew WilliamsKim JonesRick Owens, and many other designers followed one another, helping to create interesting and fascinating collections, that same silent abnormality that was pictured in the streets of Milan can now be found in Paris as well. Usually crowded by an army of photographers, buyers, influencers, insiders, the French capital, destroyed by the health emergency, has rediscovered the most artisanal aspect of the collections, ensuring that clothes, textures and accessories regain their deserved attention. A deafening absence that of the personalities who, along with models, make-up artists and stylists, constitute the real backbone of an event that is based on sharing and meeting - physically.

If on the one hand, the digitization of the event has somehow left room for the purest and most innovative creativity of the most prominent designers, on the other it has deprived the event and the city of Paris of that vitality and electrifying atmosphere that is the true ingredient of every Fashion Week.
