During fashion week Milan becomes the centre of global glamour, but during the rest of the year it's a city like thousands of others where people walk, go to work, throw the garbage and tie their shoes.
When the two universes of fashion and everyday life collide, however, a surreal atmosphere arises that only the inhabitants of the city could really recognize. The analog shots of Gianni Barlassina - Milan-based photographer and journalist that shares analog street style photos on his IG profile - tells the story of the Fashion Week from an awkward prospective: the mess, the wannabe influencers, the photographers, the black cars, the models and the celebrities mixed with the ever picturesque banality of the street.
A type of hyperreality immortalized without filters by a new school of photographers, whose best representative and precursor is the British Martin Parr.
