Over the weekend the second edition of White Street Market took place in Milan gathering the many aspects of street culture under one roof. A key element thereof has always been sneakers and for this edition nss set up a specially designated nss kicks corner to showcase some talented artists within the field and also provide visitors with the chance to participate in a workshop led by DCJ Snkrs. The artists included Agent 33 from France who showcased five hybrid models he designed by disassembling and then sticking different sneakers parts. The result is a Frankenstein sneaker made of different models. The second artist was Rudy Lim who came from Korea to show off his incredible deconstructed sneakers, his creations anatomize sneakers, he unsticks them, reveals their different layers and materials and, as if they were stuffed bugs, he separates the different parts into display cases resulting in a 'natural museum' effect. Working with some of the most hyped silhouettes, among them Sean Wotherspoon’s, Balenciaga's and Air Jordan’s. The final artist was none other than the internet sensation Stomper Haus who’s been blowing up on Instagram with his sneaker caricature illustrations. Pushing his aesthetic forward Stomper Haus has now started making sculptures of his designs to give a 3D manifestation of his work. The nss kicks area blossomed into a creative hub during the 3 days where visitors, artists, and heads all gathered in their love for sneaker culture.
