Moncler released their Moncler Genius Palm Angels range yesterday with a string of events around the globe. From LA, New York, London, and Tokyo the drop of the collection was celebrated with special pop-ups under the banner of House of Genius, where the whole Genius range up until now was made available for purchase. The Palm Angels collection acted as a merch for the museum of contemporary creativity that is Moncler Genius. In New York, the event was held downtown on Spring Street, and in London at Dover Street Market, check the pics above to discover what went down.

New York event review by Ali Glembocki:

Once a strictly utilitarian outerwear brand that made sleeping bags and clothed the French Olympic skiing team, Moncler has gone through many rounds of style evolution since 1952 without ever forgetting its roots. That energy is what made the launch of their Moncler Genius campaign so satisfying, and is what continuously makes their apparel so coveted by streetwear culture.

On October 4th in cities across the world, Moncler Genius boutiques popped up and unfurled shoppable experiences displaying several of the 8 Genius collections and collaborations. The New York shop launch in SoHo felt like an art show cocktail party that progressively crossfaded into a rowdy night at the club. Mirrored displays of the 1952 and Simone Rocha lines (to name a few) inhabited their own environments, and attendees were encouraged to try on the jackets, which worked in a space filled with unlimited photo ops.

The party's energy was very much led by the sleek universe of Palm Angels, the skate and streetwear brand born in LA. “I’m So High" was emblazoned in every corner of the venue: in red lights, on a looping short film, and on t-shirts of many event-goers. This was a family affair for Palm Angels mastermind Francesco Ragazzi, who designed at Moncler for many years before starting the label that quickly became a favorite of the skate world, the hip-hop world, and all of their cross-sections. Meek Mill made a featured appearance rocking an all red-and-black Palm Angels fit, presiding over the stylish crowd.

Moncler Genius was an activation that was fun to get lost in, and that told a story that kept everyone engaged for its entirety. The story of Moncler Genius is one they will go on long after the night is over.
