The presentation of 2018-19 Fiorentina's jerseys The first to be produced in Italy in a high tech cotton

In the amazing setting of Circolo Canottieri overviewing Ponte Vecchio, Fiorentina and Le Coq Sportif debuted the Fiorentina uniform for the 2018-19 season. The marriage between the French brand and Fiorentina celebrates for the second year in a row the jersey dedicated to the city and to the Historic Florentine Soccer, which were very appreciated by the supporters last season.

The jersey has a retro look: a purple colorway, a bit darker than last year, collar and black shorts, an homage to the uniform with which in 1969 Pesaola's iconic team won the league. The real innovation brought by Le Coq Sportif is the material used, result of months of work and trials in the headquarter of the brand, located in Romilly Sur Seine, in France. The fabric is new, high tech and water-resistant, with a mix of organic cotton, polyester and elastan. Touching them, they seem just jerseys in high quality cotton, but when it comes to performance they are meant to guarantee water resistance and the maximum of elasticity. Talking about the style of the tees, the fabric seems vintage and is actually inspired by the 80s jerseys that Le Coq Sportif made, among others, for the 1982 World Cup winner team, Italy. It wasn't a coincidence that the former world champion Giancarlo Antognoni was there to launch the shirts.

The uniforms for the away games will be 4, dedicated to the four historical neighborhoods of the city - white, red, green, light blue - which are represented on each tee with their name on the back of the collar and with a symbol on the back. They share the Saluto alla Voce - the quote that opens every historic soccer match - on the right side and the purple stripes that will frame the number. All these elements remind of the style of historic soccer uniforms. There are still no news about the font that will be used for the jerseys - even though it's fair to expect something vintage - and about the technical sponsor that will replace Folletto

The shirts, presented during a preview event a week before the final of San Giovanni tournament - will be available in stores from the first week of July.
