Amazon Prime Video is not streaming for free anymore

UPDATE 11/03/2020. It looks like Amazon Prime Video turned off the opportunity to free streaming for the month of March, taking a step back from the path of Digital Solidarity that the Italian Government has offered to convince its citizens to stay home and prevent the Country from a massive pandemic. This decision has been taken after the Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced the enlargement of the so-called "Red Zone" to the entire Country. We were wrong claiming victory.

"Be careful what you wish for", Oscar Wilde once said. In the past few days, Italy has been under the attack of a general state of panic due to the spread of Coronavirus. Fortunately, there's still a light: Amazon Prime Video just announced that its streaming service will be available for free in all the "Red Zones" for the entire month of March, 2020. To enjoy the library it will be enough to just go on primevideo.com, or download the official app for tablet, smart TV and smartphone (iOs and Android) and normally sign in. Amazon's decision followed the one made by Infinity, the media streaming service from Mediaset, that will be for free as well not for just one, but for two months.

Fleabag 

It's the series everybody's talking about: Fleabag is an hilarious yet poignant window into the mind of a dry-witted woman, living in London and constantly on the verge of a nervous breakdown (as Almodóvar would call it). Back in January it won the Golden Globe for the Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy, while its creator and main actress Pheobe Waller-Bridge took home the Golden Globe for the Best Actress in a Television Series - Musical. If that's not enough, in 2019 it was ranked 8th on The Guardian's list of the 100 best TV shows of the 21st century. If you need more reasons to watch it, you are really difficult to please.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

There's another incredible woman at the centre of this "period comedy-drama" that, as well as Fleabag, since its first stream on Prime Video has reached almost every record and prize. Earlier in January, it also won the Screen Actors Guild Award for the Outstanding Performance by and Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Its main star Rachel Brosnahan is already a diva: recently, we've seen here among the guests at the FW2020 Prada show in Milan. The fantastic Mrs Maisel is the friend everyone is dreaming of. Furthermore, she restored the dignity of stand up comedy and gave us an extraordinary look to the wardrobes from the Sixties. Simply irresistible.

The Boys

There's food for everybody, even for our little boys. Except that the main characters in The Boys are not just boys, but real superheroes (and God knows we really, really need them in these days)! The series is created from the homonymous graphic novel by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, and it follows the weird adventures of a group of "modern superheroes" who are on social medias and have huge multinational companies to manage their public image, merchandising and even their location around the US. And you know: success can drive you a bit crazy... Oh, among the cast there's Chace Crawford, too. You might remember him for playing Nate Archibald in Gossip Girl.

Homecoming

Heidi (Julia Roberts at her first leading role in a tv series) is a social worker at the Homecoming Transitional Support Center, a live-in facility where she helps soldiers transitioning to civilian life. Many years later, when she's already changed her life, the U.S. Department of Defense reaches her to ask her why she left. It will be the moment for her to realize that she has been misled about the true purpose of the facility. This important series is inspired by the homonymous podcast: though it's not brand-new (it first aired back in 2018), it tells a story that today still matters. In just one word? It's urgent.

Crisis in Six Scenes

Have you ever wondered what it would happen if Woody Allen met Miley Cyrus? Here's your answer: they'd shoot a tv series that - for any reason - can not be missed.
