The originality of Supreme's designs has always been a controversial topic. The brand's haters, including A$AP Nestwho accused Supreme of stealing some of its designs, has used the argument to prove the lack of creativity behind the box logo, while enthusiasts of the brand enjoy to discover all the hidden references into every design.

Reality is complex and interesting because the cultural appropriation has always been in the DNA skater of the brand founded in 1994 by James Jebbia. The line between plagiarism, celebration and inspiration is a subtle and slippery slope on which Supreme has always remained in balance, creating the mystery and culture surrounding the brand that made it iconic but also contributed to the phenomenon of Supreme Italia's legit fake.
