After so many rumors, finally came the official confirmation: Barack and Michelle Obama have reached a multi-year agreement with Netflix for the production of films, TV series and inspirational docuseries.

Both stakeholders are enthusiastic about the partnership.

"One of the simple joys of our time in public service was getting to meet so many fascinating people from all walks of life, and to help them share their experiences with a wider audience” - said the former president of the United States – "That's why Michelle and I are so excited to partner with Netflix - we hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world. Michelle added "We have always believed in the power of storytelling to inspire us, to make us think differently about the world around us, and to help us open our minds and hearts to others”.

The platform, which boasts 125 million users spread across 190 countries, said it was proud that the Obamas choose Netflix.

According to some, the contents produced by Barack and his wife could also face Trump's policy and criticize it, more or less directly.

What is for certain, is that, in addition to the adventures with Netflix, both Mr and Mrs Obama dream is engaged in writing their memoirs. Michelle Obama's autobiography, "Becoming", is scheduled for next fall, while Barack's hasn't an official release date yet.
