Mickey leaves Netflix.

Or rather, Walt Disney Company leaves the popular web platform, ending their agreement, to launch, from 2019, its own streaming service through which to watch animated movies and a selection of programs from Disney Channel TV.

The cartoon major project will start next year when it will offer a dedicated ESPN service, its sports network, offering 10,000 live events a year, available for subscriptions depending on the preferred sport.

To obtain the necessary technology for the business, the entertainment giant will pay out 1.58 billion dollars, money that will allow it to have the control of BAMtecc LLc, a company specializing in the distribution of streaming channels, of which it already owns 33%.

Disney and Netflix become thus direct rivals, struggling to win the increasingly competitive streaming video market.
