Here's The Best TV Shows Dropping in August Too hot for leaving home

Hot. No need to leave home and separate from air conditioning. Not even a long series of resting naps gave you the strength to get up from the couch.

All you can do to break the boredom is watching a TV series, but which one? NSS tells you the most interesting releases of August.

 

August, 1: Manhunt: Unabomber (Discovery)

8 episodes for an anthology series that reconstructs FBI investigations on Theodore Kaczynski, the infamous US terrorist who, between 1978 and April 1996, terrorized America nation sending explosive mail packets killing 3 people and injuring 23. Manhunt traces the complex psychological profile Kaczynski, after graduating from Harvard to his capture. In the series the killer is played by Paul Bettany, while Jim Fitzgerald, the chief of the FBI’s special hunting team, is Sam Worthington.

 

August 2: The sinner (USA Networks)

 

Jessica Biel is the protagonist of The Sinner, a miniseries from the homonymous novel by the German crime writer Petra Hammesfahr.

The story revolves around Cora Tannetti, a family mother who, in a raptus, commits a public act of violence without recalling its motives. Precisely this lack of motive becomes the obsession of investigator Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman), who want to discover the secrets of Cora’s life.

 

August, 3: Nuts + Bolts (Viceland)

 

The new show of Tyler, the Creator will air from August 3 and will see him in the role of presenter, to the discovery of how things are done, especially what he thinks fantastic. An example? Donuts, go-karts, stop-motion, mustard and time travel...

 

August 3: What Would Diplo Do? (Viceland)

 

James Van Der Beek, aka the petulant Dawson Leery of Dawson’s Creek is back on the small screen as the star, and even showrunner of What Would Diplo Do?.

The first original show featured Viceland is a mockumentary that wants to represent the daily life of Diplo, famous DJ, record producer and founder of Major Lazer, in a blend of fiction and reality.

 

August 4: Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later (Netflix)

 

A film directed in 2001 by David Wain and starring, among others, Bradley Cooper becomes a small cult convinced Netflix to create a prequel miniseries, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp, which aired in 2015, and now a sequel titled Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later. August 8: Carpool Karaoke (Apple Music)

 

James Corden, his guests and the songs sung their hearts out return.

16 new episodes, 30 minutes each, with something new: Corden will not always be there, but there will be conversations, out of the car, on movies, sports, pop culture and more.

Guests include Will Smith, Shakira, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams of Games of Thrones, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith; John Legend, Alicia Keys and Taraji P. Henson.

 

August 9: Mr. Mercedes (DirecTV) 

 

Stephen King’s books with protagonist detective Bill Hodges now become a TV show.

In Mr. Mercedes detective (Brendan Gleeson) has to do with a crazy assassin, Brady Hartsfield (Harry Treadway), who invests pedestrians with a Mercedes.

It thus begins a race against time to stop the criminal, with blows of letters and e-mail challenges.

 

August 11: Atypical (Netflix)

 

Having 18 years and look for love and independence.

A common story, except that Sam, the main character of Atypical he an autism spectrum disorder. Seth Gordon, director of Baywatch and Horrible Bosses, produced the series starring Keir Gilchrist, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Michael Rapaport.

 

August 18: The Defenders (Netflix)

 

The Defenders is perhaps the most ambitious project made by Marvel. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist join forces to fight the Hand, led by the mysterious Alexandra played by Sigourney Weaver.

A crossover with high expectations lasting 8 episodes in which to relax struggling alongside Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones, the chhe actors play the famous New Yorkers superheroes.

 

August 25: Disjointed (Netflix)

 

Ruth Whitefeather Feldman assumes his newly graduated son and a group of kids to help him manage his marijuana resale for therapeutic use.

The great Kathy Bates is the star in this comedy series lasting 20 episodes co-created by the author of The Big Bang Theory, Chuck Lorre. 

 

August 28: Death Note (Netflix)

 

A new horror arrives on Netflix.

The story, from a manga by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, is that of a teenager (Nat Wolff) who finds a diary that allows him to kill anyone in the world simply by writing the name on his pages. He decides to use it to eliminate criminals and wicked men, but attracts the attention of a detective (Lakeith Stanfield) who soon puts on his tracks. The hypercool Willem Dafoe gives voice to Ryuk, the creator of the diary that warns the protagonist of the consequences of his actions.

Directed by Adam Wingard, behind a You’re Next e Blair Witch.

 

August 25: The Tick (Amazon) 

 

The pilot aired in 2016, now finally comes the complete set with the superhero created in 1986 by the imagination of eighteen Ben Edlund.

His characteristics? A blue costume, 2 meters for 130 pounds of pure muscle, superhuman physical strength, crazy and unpredictable character.
