adidas presents the new Predator Freak, a revolutionary pair of boots with an electric aesthetic and made to maximize the performance of athletes. The new model will be worn by adidas top players Paul Pogba, Toni Duggan, Marc-Andre Ter Stegan, David Alaba and Abby Dahlkemper, who also participated in the upper design. The adidas model is ultratechnological and is a new proposition of the 1998 Predator Accelerator and the Predator Precision of 2000.
The great news of Predator Freak is the use of
DEMONSKIN technology, a kind of spikes that cover the entire surface of the shoe and improve the contact with the ball. In fact, positioned using a computer algorithm, they are present above all on the points of the upper where the foot has the most of the contact with the ball: with this strategic solution, the adhesion is maximum and the control of the sphere is easier. DEMONSKIN technology was also present in other models, but this studied application - but which, however, involves the surface of the shoe at 360 degrees - is the real novelty of the freaks. The colors are even more visible given the absence of laces, replaced by the PRIMEKNIT fabric of the
Purecut collar, designed with a two-part structure that favors a better adhesion to the midfoot and ankle. In addition, the
CONTROLFRAME sole completes the boost with an implemented adhesion to the pitch, which together with the cleats, facilitate the stability of the ride. Talking about the desing, on the other hand, the
total blue of the surface is combined with the yellow of the spikes and the white of the three stripes, which wrap the shoe even under the sole.
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba spoke about the new Predator Freak saying: "From the first time I wore them, I realized adidas had created something special with DEMONSKIN. I am glad that my experience has served to develop the new design of predators".
