Egreen's new single: Ho sbagliato The song marks the beginning of the collaboration between Sony Music and the rapper

Egreen has always been one of the most respected Italian rappers, whose credibility has never been questioned, and whose qualities have always been reaffirmed. Important credentials, especially when rap became part of the mainstream of Italian music, dragged by trap and the birth of subgenres that strayed from the hip-hop that until then we had known. Egreen, who until now has been a big man on the Italian independent scene, debuts at Sony with his new single "Ho sbagliato".

In the song it is as if Egreen reckons with himself, with a "realness" even too exaggerated for the times that run in the Italian music industry. Alongside the self-reproach, in fact, there is also a strong accusation to a movement - that of old school Italian rap - that fails to communicate the right things, and to connects with the present days, thus placing limits that do not allow the scene to explode permanently. It does not change the way Egreen's rap, but it comes close to a more modern aesthetic and sound, trying to show how you can "get back even at thirty" and do it well. The production of the piece was entrusted to HLMNSRA, an Italian producer stationed in London, while the artwork for the single is by Moab.

It's very likely that this is just a taste of what we can expect from Egreen, who in 2020 could return to full-fledged rap-game with new singles and a new album.
