Sónar Festival adds Stormzy to its incredible line-up

He's definitely one of the most important and influential British artists of the moment, able to give new life to one of the most popular music genres of the United Kingdom.
Stormzy, born Michael Omari, in a very short period of time managed to achieve some historic goals, from his first EP published in 2014 to his debut album, Gang Signs & Prayer, released in 2017, which was the first Grime LP to debut at number one on the UK Charts. A few weeks ago he made history once again, as the first solo black British artist to headline Glastonbury Festival (performing wearing a vest decorated by Banksy).
Now Sónar Festival, the Barcelona music festival set to take place next July 18-20, has announced that Stormzy is the latest addition to its already incredible line-up, which features Skepta, Sheck Wes, Octavian, Bad Bunny, Disclosure, Peggy Gou and many others. After his first performance in 2016, when he was an emergent artist, Stormzy returns to the Barcelona festival as one of the leading artists of the European scene, with a performance during Sónar by Night on Friday, July 19th.
