Virgil Abloh will play at Ortigia Sound System Festival

From July 24 to 28 2019 Ortigia, the most ancient part of the city of Syracuse, will host the Ortigia Sound System Festival, the eclectic and innovative music festival that has gained a prominent position in the European landscape. This year's edition, entitled Sentimiento Nuevo, as an homage to the namesake Franco Battiato's song, seems already an unmissable event, thanks to the heavyweight names in the line-up: the father of disco music Giorgio Moroder, Neon Indian, Emmanuelle, Hessle Audio, Ross From Friends, Boiler Room, and many others. 

Along with these artists, there's now the addition of Virgil Abloh. The creative, DJ, designer, creative director of Off-White and Louis Vuitton menswear, close collaborator of Nike, needs no introduction, especially in the streetwear and fashion world. The artist who started his career with Kanye West is now ready to conquer the island of Ortigia as well.

The line-up of this sixth edition includes moreover Yussef Dayes, young English drummer, the young Belgian-Caribbean artist Charlotte Adigéry, and the French musician, producer and sound engeneer Myd. 

After the great success of the previous years, this time the famous boat parties will become 8, two per day. On board of the Selene, Ortigia Sound System Festival will host an extensive selection of artists coming from all over the world, from Italy to Uganda, as the reflection of a music schedule that ranges from house to world music.
