Why did Amanda Lepore disappear from the cover of Travis Scott Astroworld? The unsatisfactory response of the photographer David LaChapelle

The new album by Travis Scott was one of the most anticipated works, but since it came out last week, it is not its content that catalyses media attention.

At the center of the social debate, in fact, there is a "mystery" on the cover of Astroworld.

It seems that in its original version has disappeared the transgender model Amanda Lepore, who, as soon as she noticed, made him notice via Instagram, sparking an avalanche of comments (over 26,000 only on the account of Travis Scott) and the accusation against rapper of trans phobia.

A few hours ago, David LaChapelle, author of the shot, explained why Amanda, who has always been his muse and recurrent subject of his photographs, has been removed from the final version of the cover:

"Amanda was taken out because she just upstaged everyone" - adding that the decision "had nothing to do with hating".

The same position was supported by Scott who, on Twitter, tried to end the tussle by writing "EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ASTROWORLD", and confirming that he had respect for LGBTQ communities and explaining that in life he was taught to accept everyone. "All are equal and all are fantastic".

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO ASTROWORLD !

Surely the laying of the Lepore, from behind, stretched forward in thong and stockings, is rather captivating, but no less than those of the other models in the cover.

Do you think Amanda really steals so much attention?

We doubt it, but the woman seems to have accepted the explanation.

“A girl can’t help it! Too distracting for the eyes" - she wrote – “Upstaged everyone in the photograph!Oh well……….. I love David LaChapelle and Travis Scott Love and kisses".

Issue resolved?
