Met Gala 2018: the provocative live Madonna

There is no more perfect guest for an event entitled "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination" which explores the relationship between fashion and the Catholic church, then Madonna.

She, who in 1984 irritated the Catholic Church writhing on the stage at the MTV VMA, while singing Like a virgin. Touched for the very first time wearing a stack of crosses and rosaries on a white wedding dress. She built her entire career fusing fashion, religious iconography, provocation and pop.

Her majesty Madge, captured everyone's attention by walking the red carpet in a dramatic dark dress by Jean Paul Gaultier, complete with a cross crown, a net veil on her face and black roses in her hands, she performed unexpectedly.

A quick change of wardrobe and the divine star reappeared on the stairs of the Great Hall at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, accompanied by a chorus of 40 "monks" and "nuns" and a small army of dancers.

Perfect in her immaculate version of a warrior (again) dressed by Jean Paul Gaultier with a lot of jewel armor, created by House Of Malakai, she performed, among the flash of cameras and cell phones, a medley composed of her hit Like a Prayer, Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen and an unreleased song called Beautiful Game that could be part of the artist's next album.
