"INTEMPESTIVI. On Being Present" arrives at Milan Design Week The project by Ugo Carrara that promotes interdisciplinary dialogue
Intempestivi. On Being Present is a project that takes shape during the Milan Design Week as a space for reflection on the contemporary creative process. Intempestivi is conceived and curated by Ugo Carrara, with the support of Gres Art 671, a contemporary art center based in Bergamo committed to developing new exhibition formats and fostering interdisciplinary dialogue. In a context dominated by continuous production and acceleration, Intempestivi proposes a suspension: a place where stopping becomes a cultural act. Here there is nothing to see - the dialogue is both the subject and the object of the exhibition.
The event will take place on Friday April 24, from 2 PM to 8 PM, at Rebelot Studio, taking the form of a day structured into seven sessions, each consisting of a talk and an open discussion with the audience, following an essential and horizontal format. Among the participants, coming from fields such as photography, architecture, visual arts and hybrid practices, are: Domenico Di Paolo, Kieran Feechan, Chanwoo Lee, Luca Rizzi, Enea Colombi, Federica Sasso, Nicolò Giovannoni, Zoe Natale Mannella and the studio (AB)Normal. Being intempestive means inhabiting the present without fully coinciding with it, maintaining a critical distance that allows one to observe it and question it. The project originates precisely from this tension, opening up an alternative space within the frenzy of the Design Week.
Intempestivi. On Being Present thus takes shape as a subtle yet necessary act of resistance, where sharing and dialogue materialize into a “living” exhibition: an invitation to slow down, to truly observe what would otherwise slip away.
