PONY goes back to its roots for FW16 And it draws inspiration from the 70s

Let’s go back to New York in 1972 for a moment. Back to when PONY was the first brand in the world that brought sneakers from the stadiums to the streets of the city, worn by sports champions in their everyday life.

At the time PONY was also one of the first sneaker brands to be featured in music videos, a forerunner in the world of sneakers having a close relationship with the hip-hop scene as well as with the skateboarding culture.

This Fall/Winter 2016, PONY has made a comeback in Italy – being available in some of the best fashion stores. The success is due to the charm of its first models, which also inspired other renowned brands. The Top Star, the Pro 80, the Slam Dunk and the City Wing, are the principal models of this great return. Their lines and purity embody the spirit of the 70s.

But that’s not all, ‘cause PONY is also about to make a comeback on the European market through Baco Distribution by Andrea Conidi.
