Pop’s favourite bad girl just dethroned Kanye West’s Yeezy Boost 350 and winning the award for “Best Shoe of the Year” with her Fenty x Puma’s super famous creepers.
Considered the “Shoes Oscars”, a pivotal event within the footwear world, the contest is hosted every year by Footwear News.
Rihanna showed all of gratitude and enthusiasm and stated “In my wildest dreams, I never would have imagined an honour like "Shoe of the Year". It means so much to me to make a mark like this in the shoe and sneaker industry and to have so many people share my love for the creeper.”
With the likes of the hottest names within the star system – we’re talking about Bella and Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, The Weeknd and more – Fenty x Puma creepers go to join a series of silhouettes that’s kind of made footwear history, like adidas’ Stan Smith, demonstrating they’re on their way to becoming pure legends.
Fenty x Puma Creepers will be presented with the official 2016 Shoe of the Year award at Footwear News’ 30th annual Achievement Awards in New York on November 29.
