Instatrend Alert: Workwear Draw inspiration from these Instagram's workwear queens

New York Fashion Week has just started, but some of the trends that will emerge from the catwalks are pretty easy to foresee and a strong one will definitely be workwear.

If you’re thinking business careers in suits, blazers and pencil skirts, then you couldn’t be farther from the target. The ‘workwear’ we’re talking about is closer to that set by Vetements with the ubiquitous DHL logo, Carhartt, and Yeezy. No one has taken the trend quite as seriously as Heron Preston, though. Having collaborated with Nike and Kanye West in the past, the designer was not stranger to the concept of workwear and, as he explained himself, the uniform was something he’s always been fascinated by. The consequence is that this year he’s worked with New York’s department of sanitation, upcycling their wardrobe made of vests, jackets, and gloves. The resulting trend is a stimulating intersection between manual-industries uniforms and elements stolen from sportswear and athleisure world. So, yes to tracksuits, overalls, denim, caps, and sweatshirts.

We had fun spotting a bunch of influencers and fashion insiders on Instagram who are doing the workwear trend quite right.
