Skinhead: An Archive is a journey into the skinhead revival in Britain in the late 70s and early 80s through a collection of unique material: flyers, fanzines, photos.

Designed by Jamie Reid and realized with the help of the artist and punker Toby Mott, the book explores this culture complex and controversial, the many facets, divisions and drifts that the movement has had over time and does so with watching the eyes of those who have truly lived.

There are Suedeheads, Crombies, there's Miss Skinhead, there are types to Clockwork Orange who go around terrorizing passers-by, there are the hard-core faithful to the motion "Nobody loves us and we do not care", you are the ones dressed in leather, those who wear only Dr Martens and is the strange case of the neo-Nazi gay Nicky Crane, but also much more.

It 'an epochal volume, the opportunity to meet a world often submerged, a cultural movement that has deeply marked the English nation, but also fashion.

To celebrate the release of Skinhead - An Archive, which is also an exhibition open until January 22 at the Gallery Ditto, 4 Benyon Road London, Martine Rose has created a jacket MA1, available to order, decorated with patches and badges that taking pictures of the book.
