November 25, International day against violence against women:United Colors of Benetton, Fabrica and Un Women say "STOP". Stop to all forms of discrimination and abuse of power, stop to suffering, stop to the culture of violence, stop to prejudices: women no longer have to pay with their life the choice to be theirselves and not what society wants them to be. The goal of the global campaign is to raise awareness about the need of action in support of women and the creation of prevention programs to finally build a culture based on respect for difference and equal opportunities.
Starting today, the UNHATE Foundation, the social heart of Benetton group, in collaboration with UNDPI-United Nations Department of Public Information, launch the digital platform Unhate News, through which young people between 18 and 30 years could propose possible actions related to various topical issues such as women's rights - but also development and the environment, fight against terrorism, democracy and human rights. Among the 100 ideas more clicked ten of them will be chosen for practical implementation in 2015.
