BUFFALO's new FW26 collection transforms individuality into silhouette From sculptural volumes and layering to metallics and animal prints, the brand puts the personality of the wearer front and center
With the FW26 collection, BUFFALO moves away from the idea of fashion built on a drawing board and invites you to step inside yourself. The claim "Step Into Yourself" becomes the statement of intent of a brand that has been working with bold proportions for nearly fifty years and now chooses to tell that story through everyday life, movement and urban relationships rather than through the perfect pose.
The visual campaign reflects this shift. In place of pristine sets and motionless models, spontaneous gestures, streets, body language and an aesthetic that favours authenticity come to the fore. BUFFALO's heritage — its thick soles, strong silhouettes and club-and-outdoor attitude — is filtered through a contemporary language of layering, vegan materials and details that speak to the city.
The new season moves in four aesthetic directions. The first is Urban Layers — the structural heart of the collection. Overlapping panels, texture shifts and dynamic lines add depth to the uppers. Vegan nubuck-effect, suede and nappa materials alternate with mesh inserts, creating movement without sacrificing the brand's signature generous proportions. The result is a silhouette that remains chunky, yet feels lighter and more architectural. Next comes Neutral Tones, which provides the chromatic foundation: cream, off-white, beige, white and black. An essential palette that highlights the structure of the shoes and makes them easy to integrate into everyday wardrobes, from monochrome to denim to more refined looks. Metallic Accents introduces light and contrast through gold, copper and silver details that follow the panel lines and emphasise the construction without weighing down the forms. Finally, Animal Instinct brings out the most instinctive side. Leopard-print inserts, natural tones and touches of pink play off light bases and sculptural soles, turning the animal print into a graphic, identity-defining element rather than a cliché.
Malaga Lace represents the most essential and versatile spirit of the collection. In its vegan nubuck and cream mesh version, the panelling and texture shifts build a tonal, luminous silhouette that balances everyday wearability with BUFFALO's distinctive character.
Yuno comes in two interpretations of the same voluminous, layered form. The first combines vegan suede and mesh in beige, black and leopard tones for a bold, metropolitan result. The second opts for nappa and copper and silver metallic mesh: the luminous reflections follow the lines of the upper and add a more refined dimension.
Bliss offers a softer take on the chunky sneaker. The off-white variant with gold details enhances the volumes with restraint, while the beige, pink and yellow version introduces pastel touches within a solid, recognisable structure.
Fion One stands out for its graphic interplay between vegan nappa and mesh in white, black and brown. The sharp contrast between the light base, dark inserts and warm accents blends technical-sportswear references with bold proportions, updating the brand's codes in a contemporary key.
Sprint is perhaps the most explicitly graphic piece: vegan suede and nappa in cream, leopard and pink tones. The alternating prints follow the layered construction, while the voluminous sole maintains the connection to BUFFALO's historic DNA.
With "Step Into Yourself", BUFFALO does not propose a single aesthetic direction, but rather a space in which neutrality and boldness, everyday life and theatricality can coexist. The shoes become tools of personal expression — not merely objects to be worn according to rules, but volumes to inhabit according to one's own journey.
