Tommy Hilfiger has landed in Taormina, Sicily, to launch The Italian Summer Project. The initiative, titled On Deck with Tommy Hilfiger, aims to pay homage to the Summer 2026 collection through an immersive experience that combines nautical style, relaxed elegance, and the authentic charm of the Mediterranean. From June 1 to 10, 2026, the renowned Wunderbar Taormina will become the beating heart of the event. Located overlooking Piazza IX Aprile, one of the most iconic places in the city, the venue offers a breathtaking panoramic terrace on the Sicilian coast. Just a few steps from the local Tommy Hilfiger monobrand store, this historic meeting place stands out for its lively atmosphere and timeless charm, with a terrace that seems suspended between sea and sky, perfect for embodying the spirit of an authentic Italian summer.
During these ten days, the Wunderbar will be completely transformed, drawing inspiration from the nautical prep world of the new collection. The setup will capture the fresh and refined energy of summer days spent by the sea or by the pool. Every detail will be curated with the classic Tommy stripes in red, white and blue tones: napkins, coasters, cushions and soft furnishings will create a consistent and immediately recognizable environment. Guests will also be able to enjoy an exclusive granita, made in the brand’s colors with strawberry, lemon and cream flavors, served with a personalized wafer that makes the experience even more memorable.
On June 4, the Wunderbar hosted an exclusive aperitivo followed by a reserved dinner on the sea-view terrace. Some members of the Tommy Family will attend, including Elisa Maino, Paola Cossentino with Mees Truijens, Lavinia Guglielman, Simone Bredariol, Mattia Basso, Veronica Giomini and Giuseppe La Spina. The evening promises to combine conviviality, style and the unique beauty of the Sicilian sunset. In addition to the Wunderbar takeover, the project includes direct activations in the Taormina store. On June 6 and 7, those who make a purchase will receive a branded fan as a gift, customizable with name or initials, the perfect accessory for hot summer days.
Throughout the month of June, the Summer 2026 collection will be further enhanced across Italy thanks to the Shop the Look collaboration with Elisa Maino.
