In Your Shoes Il mio marchio è la predominanza incolore

1) Tell us your story, your career, how did you start?

I was born in Puglia, in the south of Italy 'and, since childhood I have always been attracted to all the covers of fashion magazines that I collected, from the beautiful supermodels 90s to the great masters of photography, so at 18 I went to Milan guided by the attraction of a big city and the opportunities that at that time the fashion world could give me, as it was at its best moment, but the experiences have not been great for a boy lost in a big city, also the fashion industry was presented as a sort of caste and fashion magazines reigned at first a sense of snobbery towards the outside and then the same mechanism to me, I was just beginning to study the photographic techniques but after a short position at a modeling agency as a photographer for the tests, with great stubbornness really want to do and with the determination of a young boy , I had the opportunity to photograph a celebrity and these shots were noticed by Editor and Stylist from a good reputation, from there onwards I started working on my own style that led me to have a recognition in an already saturated market such as that of photography, I realized that in the beginning they did not give the chance to express for they know not what you do, and very often have to adapt photography to the content of the magazine, so the hardest thing was to impose my personal style. After having earned, to my great surprise, an immediate success, for my young age, in 2008 I gained an audience success with the work for the fragrance campaign "Get Together" by Armani.

2) What was your first love who directed your career, fashion or photography? as then you decided to mix it up?

The first love, I would say happened by chance was the photography, I started as a kid to experience first in a photo lab and then as an assistant to photographers for weddings and soon I have realized that, through that little slot, I could see part of the world that I like most. My passion for aesthetics grew more and moreand from thence I started collecting fashion magazines, moving closer and closer to this world. So I started to make the first attempts by photographer self-taught fashion choosing my sister as a model

3) Your biggest success?

I think for my youth to have collected a lot of satisfaction, to date I collaborate with major publishing companies like CondÈ Nast, for magazines such as Vogue, Glamour, GQ, and Traveller, editorials for Max, Maxim, Man, For Man, Capital, Gente and Chi; I managed advertising campaigns for Basile, Burani, Krizia, Cardin, Coveri, Balestra and much more, I photographed on set in Los Angeles, a beauty like Sharon Stone, The worldwide campaign the scent "Get Together" by Giorgio Armani in 2008, was particularly rewarding for me as taking my own style of 'colorless characterized by a language without alteration, clean, and then desaturated durable time, so the campaign was renewed after four years, which is rather unusual, but my greatest joy is to be back in Puglia and you open the Ground studio that today is a dream for a lot of guys who as they love this job, a family, a greenhouse creative people like me who loves to experiment

4) What is Your Style?

My trademark is the dominance of colorless, is not really a black and white, even if it is a style that I love deeply because it makes the picture eternal I call it a non-color, as the tones are very switched off in a range very desaturated, lately, though, I'm also dabbling of full color photos, because even a photographer gets bored of doing the same things. This work is a game for me, I love to go on set in the morning and try new things.

5) Future projects?

As already mentioned, I believe to be just at the beginning, the road is still long, but I will leave that constant research and experimentation combined with a lot of desire to do which they are charged, take me to do and give more and more, the important thing is not to lose the passion and personality regardless of the current fashions, inoltr will always try to export our made ??in Puglia that still has much to give.
