JW Anderson's summer essentials in his latest collaboration with Uniqlo

Spring and its optimism were the main sources of inspiration for Uniqlo x JW Anderson's SS21 collection. The entire range of clothes and accessories is in fact inspired by the simplicity and freshness of summer, with handcrafted constructions evoked by simple stitches and silhouettes as well as by fabrics such as linen and seersucker. Here's how the designer described it:

Spring was the first thought when I created this collection. We were all in the house and I couldn't wait for us to get out again. I also wanted to insert a feeling of craftsmanship, because it is a very important element for me.

T-shirts, blouses, hats, canvas bags and other items feature embroidered wildflowers whose appearance varies depending on the shade and fabric of the garment. Other design details include the artisanal seams on men's t-shirts and workwear style shirts and women's denim garments, as well as the bohemian smock stitch on dresses and skirts.
