Clothes to go around the world, from the Alps to Cape Cod

The SS21 collection by 2 Moncler 1952 Clothes to go around the world, from the Alps to Cape Cod

The first collection designed by Sergio Zambon for 2 Moncler 1952 was all built on the polarity between the ski world of the Alps and the cultural and underground scene of Los Angeles. For his new summer collection, Zambon was inspired by the outdoor world but with a new twist that led him to add to the classic utility suggestions the chromatic sparks of saffron, purple and malachite green that evoke the golden and tropical beaches of Cape Cod.

The gorpcore aesthetic is still well present in the garments of the collection: in the form of graphics that reproduce the mountain flora, photographs of the Alps and geographical coordinates of the birthplace of Moncler, Monestier-de-Clermont. Material and structural elements, such as ripstop fabrics and "chambray" cotton nylon, create contrasts with cargo pockets, while in outerwear a series of hidden zips offer minimalist and ultralight options for spring alternating them with closures with double falseness and press buttons. But a new summer and holiday element is brought by trousers with aprons, gardening bibs, retro square glasses, muslin bandana, Hawaiian-inspired necklaces and a series of sweatshirts with graphics inspired by the cartoon aesthetic. A series of activity-oriented accessories and sneakers then closes the collection with a decidedly more pragmatic approach.

2 MONCLER 1952 is available in Moncler boutiques, on moncler.com and in selected wholesalers all over the world.
