Prada has built a giant sustainable logistics center in Tuscany Designed by architect Guido Canali

In recent weeks, the Prada group has completed the work on the third and last warehouse that completes the new giant sustainable logistics centre in the Arezzo Valdarno. Designed by architect Guido Canali, the new centre covers a total of 33 thousand square meters and will allow direct management of the clothing, footwear and leather goods produced in the factories.

The centre will boast a state-of-the-art structure with huge windows that illuminate the work environments, garden roofs, photovoltaic panels and a geothermal air conditioning system that reduces polluting emissions. Once complete, the centre will consist of three buildings divided between quality control and warehouses, while at the moment a canteen for employees and a building dedicated to the logistics offices remain to be built. The prospect is to complete the works by 2022 to accommodate 350 employees.

With an investment of around 50 million euros, the new logistics centre marks a continuity for the Prada group compared to what was done with the Valvigna manufacture, the group's centre of world excellence in leather goods, also designed by Guido Canali. In the last period, many brands have invested in Tuscany, from the Fendi factory to the one for Balenciaga leather goods
