Daily Paper's new New York store The brand's first flagship out of native Amsterdam

Amsterdam-based streetwear brand Daily Paper has opened its first official flagship outside the Netherlands in New York. Located in Manhattan, on the Lower East Side area, the new retail space represents a fusion between the afro-centric tradition of the brand and its European heritage and, in addition to a real store, aims to become a real social center thanks to the presence of a café inside the space.

The space, designed by Heather Faulding of the 4plus Design studio, wants to be a physical manifestation of the brand's spirit. The exterior is inspired by classic Flemish architecture, with its ornate gables and a wall covered with rounded plates that evokes African pearls instead. Inside there are statues on their pedestals, a mosaic floor, skylights and decorations that evoke the feeling of a museum. On the second floor, between glass floors, skylights and triangular railings inspired by African motifs, there is the lounge space instead.

The first Daily Paper New York flagship will open today October 24 at 18 Delancey Street, Lower East Side.
