The luxury of hiking with Woolrich The brand has launched a new genderless collection called Outdoor Label

For the FW20 season, Woolrich has created a genderless collection called Outdoor Label, immortalizing it in a lookbook that follows a real exploration on the famous Appalachian Trail, a route that winds through 14 states, crossing the majestic North American land for 3500 km. The collection was created according to three fundamental criteria: tradition as a source of inspiration, sustainability as an approach to the future and innovation as a tool to make the most of the technologies used in production and design.

Each model is built to face different climatic conditions and it is possible to categorize the various items according to the three main stages of the Appalachian Path. The first is Bear Mountain, which represents the mid-season with wool blend fleeces, shirts made of SeaWool fabric consisting of PET plastic bottles and recycled oyster shells and Cebonner nylon jackets. For the freezing cold of Mount Washington, however, explorers chose parka and GORE-TEX® Infinium vests with recycled down padding and Lyocell pullovers, a natural material made from cellulose and wood pulp. Even colder is Mount Katahdin, whose crossing was tackled with the Wintertide SD and Trail parkas and the Tundra down jacket. Natural palettes, inspired by the natural tones of beige and blue, meet pale colors or bold color-blocks inspired by the 80s and 90s.

The Flagship Store in Milan has paid tribute to this capsule by setting up a new area entirely dedicated to the collection. Together with the well-known Snow-room, this space offers a unique experience, inspired by the fusion of American heritage and Japanese culture. Made inside an impressive glass cube, the area is characterized by the articles of Imperfetto Lab, a brand that combines the elements of nature with design. The set up is completed by corrugated wood fiber panels of Japanese origin and a selection of objects for camping.

Woolrich's new Outdoor Label collection is available in the brand's main flagships and on Woolrich's website.
